DT project part 1

Triangle is the strong shape(what teacher said, but we didn't use inside..)

We could use two triangles at the bottom and put the bridge on there.( because of the problem of the cm of the bottom length, we canceled this idea.)

Minimum 10 cm height in height 10cm width

The space under the bridge is called shipping channel
Available materials: pop sticks, hot glue, metal wire and string
Your bridge must be realistic as possible prevent objects falling through the bridge
This is the picture of the main design, but because we don’t have enough time to build this, so we change some design in it.

Cost:

Sticks: 42000
Glue: 2000
Total: 44000uro
Why do we change…
We change a lot of the real design because first of all, we don’t have time to do the details about strings. Some are helpless like as you see, we’re going to put things in the middle of the bridge, but the length not allow us to do that, so we change that part=put 3 sticks together and stick it on the little gap between the bridge height and length. At last, we change the string part, this is because those strings might not help because the string might pull the heavy things with the bridge together, so we need to get rid of strings.
I think what we do well is we make the bridge very thick, so we already weigh through over 12kg, and special thanks to JASON, he helped us a lot!

Why the final cost costs a lot…
We cost a lot because our teammate said we can beat the most record for the cost the most money, and the other reason is that we need to make the bridge very strong, so that means… we need to use a lot of woods and glue guns!

  1. I think your blog is good you have some pictures and a very well explained paragraph about the process of building the bridge.
(By the way we used pounds not Euro for the money.)
The part that it missing is the reflection. You could of wrote how to improve the parts that didn't go so well.
